Sent the following thank you to Rep. Smith 6/4/2019

Dear Jonathon;
We wanted to thank you again for meeting with us May 20th to discuss the Disability Integration Act (HR 555). We appreciate your time and we most definitely appreciate Congressman Smith???s co-sponsorship of this landmark civil rights legislation for people with disabilities.

The promises of the Americans with Disabilities Act cannot be fulfilled for people trapped behind the walls of institutions. HR 555, the Disability Integration Act, will further ???tear down the shameful walls of exclusion??? by reinforcing the right for people with disabilities to live in the most integrated setting, and by building a framework for ensuring our communities offer meaningful access, services and supports.

We look forward to Congressman Smith???s continued support of the Disability Integration Act and the civil rights of all people with disabilities.

Thank you.
