On January 8th, Jonathan Dollhopf traveled to D.C. and stopped by Congressman Suozzi's office. He asked for a meeting. The receptionist said that no one is available and gave me the business cards. I sent emails to Diane Shust, Deputy Chief of Staff, and Danie Hupper, Executive Assistant/Scheduler requesting a meeting. He received an email from Diane asking if we could meet the next day. He agreed.
On January 9th, Jonathan met with Diane and discussed DIA. Diane confirmed that Congressman Suozzi is recommitted to co-sponsor DIA.

Kathryn Carroll, a rep of United Spinal (Jose Hernandez) and a constituent (Scott Meier) met with staff in the Queens district office to ask if the Congressman would be an initial cosponsor next session. Met with Ratna, and Justin in-district. Received a follow up call from Chief of Staff Mike Florio (mike.florio@mail.house.gov) regarding inaccessibility of the district office. On the phone, Mike said he didn't think there was any reason why the Congressman would not be able to commit, and said the congressman is "good on these issues."
