Ellen Taverna met briefly with Lauren Covington along with a large group of VA constituents for Autism Society of America Hill Day on 7/12. I thanked her for Rep. Connolly???s support of the DIA. I asked if we could meet to discuss expanding VA House cosponsors. She mentioned also wanting to talk about other disability related bills. I will follow up this week to schedule a meeting.

Met with Connolly's staffer Lauren. She previously received the DIA handout and asked questions about the bill. She stated next week (11/20-24) the DIA will be on Connolly's legislative agenda. Lauren stated that DIA is something the Congressman could probably Will follow up on Tuesday 11/21 to see where they are at on cosponsoring the bill.
Important to note Connolly is a Disability Caucus member.
