On February 20th, Sophie Poost emailed Emily Haas and Chris Bowman. Emily responded that day that Lamb's paperwork has been submitted to Sensenbrenner's office and Lamb should be on after the break is over.

Note from Sheryl Grossman-
1/15/19, Emily Haas, Sen Policy Adv (Emily.haas@mail.house.gov) and Chris Bowman, Leg Dir (Chris.Bowman@mail.house.gov)- went to get an initial co-sponsor, unavailable, left card with cell number. Emily returned call said there was a problem because no language/bill/introduction. I went back to office with hard copy of the language. Thanked me for the language, said she would talk to the Congressman and didn???t expect any red flags if the same as last session, and said she would come to the 3pm re-introduction event. Still is not signed on.

Hi Emily,

I am reaching out to ask if Representative Lamb will cosponsor the Disability Integration Act again. The DIA was reintroduced last week as HR. 555 (and in the Senate it was introduced by Minority Leader Schumer as S. 117). The bill is both bicameral and bipartisan, and already has 52 cosponsors in the House. Last session Rep. Lamb cosponsored the bill, then known as HR 2472. The bill is substantially the same with minor technical edits which were suggested by AARP.

To cosponsor the bill, please contact Amy Bos at Congressman Sensenbrenner???s office.

Will Representative Lamb cosponsor DIA?

Thanks,

Stephanie Woodward, J.D.
Co-chair of the Disability Integration Act Workgroup

Addition: staff said that the Little Lobbyists had just been into their office the day before so they understood how important this issue was.

On January 16th, E. Jones spoke to staff at Rep. Lamb's office regarding DIA. She was told he would be happy to cosponsor and was given the card of Emily Haas. She sent an email to Emily on January 18th.

Tim Bowman writes on 8/30/2018 at 1:12PM:
On August 30th, 2018, C4CI sent an email to Emily Haas (emily.haas@mail.house.gov) asking whether Representative Lamb would be an initial co-sponsor of DIA if elected to the next Congress.

Bruce Darling writes on 6/11/2018 at 5:53PM:
I noticed that the email address did not have a "dot" between the first and last names. Resent email to address with "dot".

Emily,
Although it did not bounce back, I think this may not have gotten through to you.
Resending it.
Bruce

Sent email to Emily:

What's the status on Congressman Lamb Cosponsoring DIA?

National ADAPT praised him during the election (see below) for his support of our Constitutional rights to Life and Liberty as Disabled Americans, but he has not appeared on the cosponsor list yet ??? the most direct way he can demonstrate his support for the bill.

ADAPT statement praising Candidate Lamb:

Here is the current cosponsor list:

Folks from ADAPT stopped by the office when we were in DC, but their report wasn???t clear when he would be signing on.
Thanks for the update.

On April 13, 2016 ADAPT members - as part of the Spring Action Hill Day - provided the office with information about the Disability Integration Act which has already been introduced in the US Senate and asked that the Member of Congress become initial cosponsor this legislation in the House.
