Email sent on 1/30:

Hello Sarah,

I stopped by your office a few weeks ago, but I just wanted to send an email to follow up. I am reaching out to ask if Representative Fudge will cosponsor the Disability Integration Act again. The DIA was reintroduced on January 15th as HR. 555 (and in the Senate it was introduced by Minority Leader Schumer as S. 117). The bill is both bicameral and bipartisan, and already has 92 cosponsors in the House. Last session Rep. Fudge cosponsored the bill, then known as HR 2472. The bill is substantially the same with minor technical edits which were suggested by AARP. I???m attaching basic information of the bill as a brief refresher.

Will Representative Fudge cosponsor DIA?

Thanks,

Sophie Poost

Sophie Poost sent the following email to Sarah Nasta on December 21 and received no response:
Dear Sarah,
I am writing on behalf of the Disability Community to thank Representative Fudge for their sponsorship of the Disability Integration Act in the last Congress. We will be holding an event in the U.S. Capitol on January 15th to celebrate the bill???s reintroduction. We would like to announce the Representative as an original cosponsor of the bill at the event. Would you please confirm the Representative???s intention to be an original cosponsor on the legislation? We would be grateful for their leadership in helping ensure that all disabled Americans have the right to live in freedom. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Sophie Poost
