On August 30th, 2018, C4CI sent an email to Judd Smith (judd.smith@mail.house.gov) asking why is not a cosponsor of DIA and whether the representative would commit to being an initial co-sponsor of DIA if elected to the next Congress.

PA Adapt went to a scheduled meeting with Congressman Tom Marino at his DC office on July 24th, 2018 to demand he sign on the Disability Integration Act. He tried to hide from us, squeezed out of meeting with us, and sent his senior LA, Matt Powell to talk to us, but Pam Auer and Misty Dion rushed into the office to hold our Representative to his word and meet with us. Inside Pam, Misty, Gabe Brown, Brittani Sluzalis, Mariah Smith, Dom and Brenda cornered Marino while he was walking out of his office to get to a vote on the floor. Pam made sure our Congressman knew that we weren't pleased he was avoiding us once again and I explained the importance of his co-sponsorship to the DIA. His response was that he "most likely will sign on" but that he and his staff need to review it (even though we've sent him this piece of legislation several times for him to review in preparation for our supposed meeting with him.)
Matt Powell said he will get us a response by the following Wednesday, August 1, 2018.
On August 1, 2018 we reached back out to Matt Powell to see if there was a response from the Congressman, and Matt replied that the staff is still reviewing the legislation and will get back to us early next week - the week of August 6, 2018.
